I made this video in 1995 for my family. Later, it was used as an educational tool in several universities and a few organizations, as well as an example of narrative therapy at a conference at Northwestern University. It was also used at a project called "Maria" in Venezuela.
This was a time when I lost my relationship of eight years. I had lost my job, besides I was very sick with the HIV virus. I pretty much didn't have a place to go, but I dared to dream.
I exercised the power of non-resistance to “What Is”. Not wanting and resisting “what is” causes us suffering, at the same time, whatever we resist persists and whatever we fight against we strengthen.
Much later was when I decided to write “Trust What Is”. For this book to be born the process was needed. It’s a fictional memoir based on the concept of quantum physics, where everything is possible.
We are all able to connect with that field.
Life to us is a mystery, but we are that mystery.
With all my love and respect,
argenis

New Consciousness Mind: "Trust What Is" by Argenis Vegas
www.createspace.com/4799213
Suffering can be the greatest catalyst for transformation. It can help you discover your own essence and connect with the field of all possibilities.
You have the opportunity to navigate the flow of life and be with “what is” at that moment. Rather than fight against the natural current, be present in it.
Those who oppose us are not our enemies, but our teachers. Offer them no resistance.
This story attempts to point to that which is beyond words, and cannot be grasped by the mind—the unified nature of existence, which lies beyond the conditioning and the dualistic perception of life.
My wish is that it will encourage you to welcome differences, thus creating a more peaceful, loving world, and to inspire you to see and go beyond the circumstances in your life.
No matter how difficult your situation is at this present moment, may you realize how blessed and loved you truly are, as George Bailey discovered in It’s a Wonderful Life.
This account is based on a personal experience.

Diversity Talk At Horizons Community Services
I am the support groups coordinator for the Education and Support Services here at Horizons. And I have an accent, just in case you haven't noticed it. That accent is just one small example of how people can be different.
Training you about diversity essentially means helping you to understand, respect and appreciate those differences.
One thing I like about Horizons is the diversity of the organization. I also enjoy our willingness to confront our differences and debate issues together, until we come to a practical solution to a particular problem.
I'd like to share with you something that I found very insightful in one of our Prevention Team meetings. Two of the staff members appeared to disagree on how to approach an issue.
One of the staff member was a gay male, and the other was a heterosexual female. I believe that the differences in their cultural background and sexual orientation probably contributed to their different points of view. But it was not important to judge one right from wrong, but to allow this two different and valid points of view to see all the perspectives to help us arrive at a common goal.
I recently attended a transgender and transsexual forum where I learned a lot about differences and being different. As a gay man, I thought that I already knew about being different. But the transgendered individuals at that conference, taught me what really being different is all about.
One of the panelists mentioned that if they could put together all the tears they had cried for being different, it would overflow Lake Michican.
If we as individuals learn to appreciate, respect and embrace differences, then we are creating a more caring and loving world.
I am an optimist, so I can see the day when big private corporations would have at the end of a job listing: transgender and transsexual individuals encouraged to apply.
But I also believe that it all starts with us; when we truly value ourselves, then society will value us.
Id like to quote from a speech that Mr. Al Wann gave here at a conference in Chicago on Diversity
He said:
If you have studied Eastern philosophy, you may embrace the concept of the balance of forces in the universe. In Eastern philosophy, there is no life without death. There is no spring without winter. You cannot appreciate the light without darkness. Without differences, there is only sameness. Without positives and negatives pulling against each other, there is no spark, no energy.
Visionary business leaders also believe this. They believe in the concept of dynamic tension. They do not expect all people to like each other, only to work well together. They do not want all people to agree with each other, or with them. They do expect all people to celebrate their differences and to cooperate for a common goal.
He also said that ignorance produces fear and it is human nature to fear change. We tend to welcome sameness, especially when we lack self-esteem.
Low self-esteem leads to bigotry and prejudice. People who dont feel good about themselves see things in terms of threats. People with high self-esteem see things in terms of new challenges and opportunities, and their minds wonder, What can I learn from this new situation?
I would like to share with you a little story of a woman named A-yah from the book Clan of the Cave Bear.
She is essentially a breed apart. She has made an evolutionary jump forward. She possesses skills that only males are allowed to practice. Obviously, she is feared and is banished from the tribe. But she survives, alone in the wilderness. She copes and believes in herself. She returns to the tribe where she is finally accepted as a leader.
The message here again is that she was different. She was seen as a threat because she upset the accepted norm. She represented change, and therefore was cast out instead of being acknowledged for her talents as a valuable resource to benefit the whole group.
And finally, I would like to say that it is our hope that trough this training you will learn to understand, respect and appreciate differences and each other.
Thank you.

In The Space of No-thingness Everything is Possible.
In The Space of No-thingness Everything is Possible.
Our own suffering can be seen as a gift, because it helps us see that within that same suffering we can see the other side of the coin, if only we give ourselves that opportunity.
You have to stay in close contact with the energy that arises and that you feel in your body from your own experiences at every opportunity. Without trying to change anything, just watch what happens in your body. For example, if you feel fear, jealousy, anger, sadness, guilt, depression and so on, do not be afraid and surrender into that experience. Dropping the story that creates it and staying with the feeling or sensations in your body.
As you maintain that presence and integrate it into your life experiences in that way, over and over again, a sense of peace, stillness, silence is manifested in each and every one of your experiences. It’s that sense of presence who we really are, as you abide in that presence with any experience in your life a natural sense of joy arises. This is the other side of the coin. Then, your actions come directly from that space of understanding, where everything is possible and there is not separation o limitations.
You can also use your breath to keep this presence and then return to the sensations in your body. This can help you discover your own essence and connect you with that field of all possibilities. You are not the wave, you are the ocean. This would give you the opportunity to navigate with the flow of life and be with what is at that moment.
You can change it with your own observation and relaxation in all your experiences and rather than to go against it be present with it. Everything you fight against it you strengthen, and everything you resist persist.
In the world of forms we are bound by the law of matter and rule by the five senses; But in the space of not-thing, everything is possible and there is no limitations and an endless fountain of compassion, patience and simplicity. This is what we cultivate in meditation, the formless part of ourselves. Moving more from being to non-being, synchronizing mind and body. This is the perfect combination of violent action taking place in an atmosphere of total tranquility. It’s almost like a mutation that needs to happen for transformation. To go beyond the senses is just an evolutionary process, and a natural process for a human beings realization. As we abide in that presence in every single experience, and completely integrate it in our life, then it becomes fully who we are.
This can be seen in so many different ways, hence we have so many religions and points of view explaining the same thing. The song is always the same, but the melody may be different.
We all sing the same song, but ultimately we have to find our own melody, just as all ancient sages had done and shared with us.
Man cannot understand matter until he can grasp the concept that it manifested from
no- thing, and it evolved and changed through its own thought. And this not-thingness is imprinted in everything. Therefore, from this not-thing everything is possible and there are no limitations. Just as the number zero, within itself is just a reference point
not negative, not positive. Everything arises and falls back into it and it’s limitless. This not-thing is in fact everything.
All types of mental activity and identification create confusion and separate us from whom we really are.
We are not what we think, but thought is part of it. We are not our experience, but our experiences are born from it. And it's like a mirror that reflects everything but the mirror is not affected by these reflections. It remains intact. This is just a metaphor that points to what we are. There's nothing pure or impure in that. Everything is equal and born from that. There is no separation from it. But as we live in this world of duality and relative separateness, we are bound to the fruit of our actions. This fruit may be sweet or sour according to the seed that was planted. This all just begins with a thought in the world of forms.
